Course Description
Synergie Education Institute offers a two-semester intense program in phlebotomy that prepares students for entry-level clinical placement which can lead to employment as a phlebotomist when signed off as competent on both an academic and clinical level.
You will learn the theoretical background and skills needed for accurate collection of blood and other specimens using a range of hands-on procedures. You will receive intense phlebotomy training in theory and skills, coupled with intense training in a variety of mandatory subjects,. Please note that skills practice cannot be delivered online however, skills demonstration via video will be presented as part of the course.

What will I learn?
Students learn the essentials of drawing blood, the role of the phlebotomist, safety and infection control, blood collection equipment, specimen processing, simple "waived testing," practice with equipment on practice arms and intensive theory modules to set the student with the knowledge required to undertake practice placement of their choosing and own sourcing. Students can expect an intense academic level of learning & assessment.
Enrollment
Enrolment is limited to 12 students per class, ensuring an intimate student-centred environment. Lecture and practical sessions are held in Dublin, Kildare, Cork & Galway.
Attendance
100% attendance is mandatory in this course. This course consists of 3 Full Days (24 Hours Face-to-Face). Following this, 7 months of intense learning and assessment will commence. This is an Intensive CPD Diploma in Phlebotomy that requires a high degree of commitment
3 Full Day ONLINE classes due to Covid 19 & 1 day Face to Face attendance, held in a central location, when government guidelines on Covid 19 allow.
